We are OurJourneyInMyles.com and we strive to be current and up to date on all the rules and procedures we must follow. Our small YouTube Channel and Website is owned and operated by Sue and Mark Chandler.
We send emails to the people who send emails to us, or have signed up for our newsletter/email notifications. (This is in the works!) We only send them if you sign up and you can unsubscribe anytime you want. There’s always a link at the bottom of every newsletter email to do so.
We ask for some basic information (like your name) when you choose to leave a comment here on our website.
We don’t save or sell any personal information you provide. We have ZERO interest in collecting your data, and quite frankly WOULDN’T EVEN KNOW HOW, let alone give it to other people. The only thing we keep track of is your name, your email address and which geographic region you live in.
All of the things described below in the “Formal Privacy Policy Write Up” below are the automated “consequences” of using our website, and the behind the scenes magic that happens with the internet that has been programmed in by many, many IT professionals at many, many companies. If any of this makes you uncomfortable, please feel free to not continuing to use our entertainment based website and/or YouTube Channel and unsubscribe.
When visitors leave comments on our website we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you are using a Gravatar service, an anonymized string created from your email address may also be provided to that service. After approval of your comment, this will make your profile picture visible to the public in the context of your comment. You can review the Gravatar service privacy policy at Automattic here: https://automattic.com/privacy/
We offer e-mail subscriptions: This allows you to receive an e-mail every time a blog or newsletter update is posted.

This server data is used for the exclusive purpose of monitoring and preventing abuse and spam. Functionality cookies are set for a duration of 347 days to remember a visitor’s blog and post subscription choices if, they have an active subscription.
How to Opt Out Of Subscriptions: You may manage or opt out of existing subscriptions by clicking on the subscription tools at the bottom of any subscription e-mail. There are links to “unsubscribe” as well as links to change your e-mail settings under “manage subscriptions”. You may also clear all functionality cookies through your browser settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser’s Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
