When you combine its use with the Harvest Host app. you will have virtually all you need. It is essential to stay organized and travel as “stress free” as possible. This program is powerful! Therefore, it needs certain personalized data that YOU enter as “Your Travel Preferences.” RV Trip Wizard will then be able to help you make travel decisions to create the perfect route for you!

Features Commonly Associated with RV LIFE Trip Wizard include:
Route Planning: The tool allows you to plan your route based on your preferences, such as avoiding tolls or selecting scenic routes suitable for RVs.
Campground and RV Park Information: RV Trip Wizard provides information about campgrounds and RV parks along your route. This includes details like amenities, services, reviews from other travelers, and contact information.

Here are some of the things you need to enter. RV size, weight, length, fuel tank size, miles per gallon and fuel economy. You input your estimated average travel speed. Once these are entered, they will become your default settings for all planned trips. As you gain experience using this trip planning tool, you may want to change some of your defaults. Go back and modify things like the “average speed” you travel at.
Many other items to input or adjust later with experience are: Your preferred HOURS of traveling, preferred number of MILES traveled per day and what type of driving situations to avoid! Cumulative lodging and fuel expenses can be tracked. Campground memberships & preferences are entered to help make your campground searches more accurate.
How easy is it to use the RV Trip Wizard Software?
Many “How To” tutorials from actual Trip Wizard users exist on line showing you how to use the RV Trip Wizard App Travel Route Planning Software. That is not the intent of our attached video. We chose to show you how we use it, and how it makes our traveling so much easier. It is not hard to understand and use. It is powerful, so it does have a learning curve! Mark is in his 70s and he was able to figure it out. You can too!

What's That Crazy Doily Shape at the end of the route in California?
Once you learn and use the program, you will be in awe how all the others traveling BEFORE YOU traveled without this amazingly powerful planning tool. Above is our actual RV Trip Wizard planned travel route we used on our October 2020 relocation from WI to CA.
The RV Trip Wizard App trip planning program has 2 driving radii that you can chose to display. These “shapes” will overlay on your travel route screen.
The “Simple Driving Radius” is just that. A circle that radiates from your starting location the distance you have specified in your preferences sets. You will see where this radius crosses the road you have chosen to travel on, and that is where you will want to stop for the day.
The “Advanced Driving Radius” circle displays a spider web shaped area going 360 degrees around your current highlighted position on the map. The extreme border of this doily shape tells you where you will end up on each available roadway. This is based on any number of travel time (and/or speed) constraints you entered into your preferences.
Remember that traveling 30 mph for 4 hours on a gravel road will get you only so far. RV Trip Wizard takes each roadways particular speed limit into account. Traveling 60 mph on asphalt will get you much further from your starting point! Where this “Advanced Shape” crosses your chosen roadway will be a more accurate stopping point for you to search for a campground.

We feel the RV Trip Wizard travel planning application is an absolute must to make traveling logical, organized and certainly way easier! This has been our PRIMARY route planning tool for over 3 years. If we could afford only one travel planning tool, this would be it! We also use Harvest Hosts and Allstays which we touch on in the video episode shown above.
Belonging to Harvest Hosts  allows you to experience truly unique RV camping. You have a choice of over 1400 wineries, breweries, distilleries, farms, museums, and other unique locations to stay at! Once you search and identify the name of one of these locations, you enter it into the search function in RV Trip Wizard. It will usually then pop up in the drop down selection box. By clicking on it, you will be able to ADD it to your route.
The RV Trip Wizard location filter at this time will not automatically fill in Harvest Host locations. You need to manually search for the proper name of the Harvest Hosts member. Once you have this proper name, searching for the location in the RV Trip Wizard App will allow you to add it to your route.

I watched your video on RV cost (Sept 2023) it was extremely informative. I have looked at other you tube videos that talked about this subject and by far yours was not only very detailed but also entertaining. Thank you for your input and your time for producing this video!
We have two rv’s, neither as big and nice as yours, one is a 23 ft trailer, other is a almost new truck camper that we just recently used to visit Yellowstone and other sites along the way for 17 days back in June/July 2023.
We are interested at some point in a larger type camper/rv, so watching your video opened our eyes to expenses that we need to educate and investigate now so we are hopefully successful in our journey if we do decide to dive into that.
Once again thank you both for your informative video and I did subscribe and , and look forward in watching your videos in future.

We DO NOT have a warranty on our rig. It is a 2014 and we bought used. But since June of 2017 (Its now September 2023) we have only come to rely on and trust the (6) nationwide National Indoor RV Centers locations. Every time we a forced to go somewhere else, it ends up being “less than optimal”. First Contact with a new species…not really, but RV life is kind of a different world. As with many, we have been watching U-tube RV related videos for over two and a half years now. My wife and I continue to enjoy OJIM videos when the rest have become big commercials, with the possible exception of AZ Expert.
So why do we finally reach out? Last Friday, we finally bought our “desired” RV, a 2016 TiffinAllegro Bus 37AP. Nope, not a Newmar our second choice, but we both liked the shorter length, 450hp/1250 ftlbTorque, etc. As an introduction, I am a retired ME (39 yrs Petroleum Industry) and my wife is also a retired RN (37 yrs) and we live in Ventura, CA (still working on the stick and bricks)about 3 hrs west of your new winter home. We are both native Californians and returned to Ventura after 21 yrs both overseas and in Bakersfield, CA.
Anyway we just tried signing up for RVLife Pro using the OJIM discount code and it gave us a “coupon invalid”, any suggestions? We will call directly in the morning. Are we trying to save money, of course. The RV did not come with any accessories; so we are bleeding money. However, Amazon loves us and yes, we are taking advantage of store suggestions.
